Start to finish
What actually happens between the estimate and the last saw cut.
No mystery, no surprise add-ons. Here's how a project runs from the day we walk it to the day you park on it.
- 01
Walk the site
We meet you at the property, measure, look at grade and drainage, and talk about how you actually use the space. This is also where we tell you if what you're asking for is the wrong solution.
- 02
Written estimate
You get a clear number with the scope spelled out: square footage, thickness, reinforcement, removal, finish. No line items that mean nothing.
- 03
Removal & base
Old concrete out, subgrade cut, granular base placed and compacted in lifts. The unglamorous half of the job, and the half that decides how long the slab lasts.
- 04
Forming & steel
Forms set to line and grade, edges radiused where the design calls for it, reinforcement placed and supported off the base rather than pulled up mid-pour.
- 05
Pour & finish
Placed, screeded, floated and finished on the concrete's timeline, not the clock's. Broom texture, smooth trowel or stamped pattern depending on the plan.
- 06
Joints, cure & cleanup
Control joints cut on layout, curing protected, site raked out and hauled clean. You get care instructions and a straight answer on when you can use it.
Caring for new concrete
The first winter matters most.
- No de-icing salt the first winter — use sand for traction.
- Keep heavy trucks and equipment off for 28 days.
- Reseal stamped and decorative surfaces every two to three years.
- Keep downspouts discharging past the slab, not onto it.
- Call us if a joint opens up — it's usually a five-minute answer.
