Walks and steps are where people touch your property, so they get judged closely — and they are the flatwork most likely to be poured wrong. Uneven risers, a walk that pitches back at the house, a landing that holds ice: all avoidable.

We lay out risers so every step is the same height, set the walk with a positive slope away from the foundation, and keep joint spacing tight enough that the panels stay put.

Older concrete that has heaved or settled gets removed rather than patched over. Patching a failed walk buys a season; replacing the section fixes it.

Sidewalk replacement is one of the most common calls we get, and it is often smaller than people expect. A cracked or heaved panel at the end of the walk usually means replacing that section, not the whole run — we cut clean lines at the joints and match the existing finish so the repair disappears. If the trip hazard is one slab, we fix one slab. If the walk is failing panel by panel, we will tell you honestly that a full replacement is the better money.
